We’re super excited and can’t wait to welcome you all to our magnificent venue, the Performance Arts Culture Centre Cessnock (The PACC).
108th Abermain Eisteddfod – 2025 SOLOS PROGRAM
This year, we’ve concentrated on ‘Community Supporting Community,’ and we send out a heartfelt thanks to all the local families and businesses that have jumped on board in financial support or service, to make this event even more special for the performers and spectators alike.
A big thank you to all of you for your patience and flexibility in adapting to our decision to add an extra day due to the overwhelming number of entries. We truly understand the ‘struggle of the juggle’ with conflicting commitments and appreciate your prompt responses for any amendments that have needed to be made. We have already allocated 5 days next year, and following the event, we welcome any feedback you may have to help us get even better.
Spirit of the Coalfields Cup – Celebrating Passion, Artistry and Showmanship
This year, we are honoured to introduce the inaugural ‘Spirit of the Coalfields Cup’, which will take place on the last night of competition. The Cup and the finalist performances are in dedication to the talented dance teachers who have enriched the ability and quality of what you see today, and are deeply embedded in the esteem and tradition of our 108-year-old Eisteddfod. We honour Merle Pullar, Tessa Maunder, Diane Talbot, Ted Miller and Les Griffith.
We welcome you all to join us in celebration. The Cup will be judged by a panel of guest judges, and the winner will be awarded a cool $1,000 cash – but this one is more than the prize! We’ll also have a ‘People’s Choice’ award and invite the audience to participate.
Tickets are just $10 per person.
Spectator Tickets
We’ve kept the entry fees as cost-effective as we can, but as you can imagine, having such a high-quality venue does come at a cost.
Please find the link below to pre-book tickets, or they will also be available on the day.

Music Uploads
We appreciate your patience with this. We require all music to be uploaded by 5:00 pm on Friday, 3rd October. Please assist us with this, as the music being uploaded is paramount to the smooth running and time-keeping of the day.
Competitor Entries
This year, we welcome over 1,000 performances spread across all genres. Some performers are entering for the very first time, and others are very seasoned – each one on their own journey. The large sections may look overwhelming, but that just adds to the excitement and the true essence of what it’s all about.
Please double-check your entries and ensure that no dances are repeated at any time (with the exception of 6U Championships), including the Spirit of the Coalfields Cup.
Videos
All videos of performances need to be PRE-ORDERED.
Due to ill health, unfortunately, JRD Media are no longer able to record our performances, and so we welcome Alan and Kim from AK Videos!
Not all performances are recorded, so it’s essential to pre-order. Please see details and costs in the program.
Performer Entry
The back doors of the PACC will open at 7:30 am, and our competition will start promptly at 8:00 am.
A Cleanliness Reminder…
We, of course, know you will – but a friendly reminder to respect the venue and please place rubbish in the bins provided, keep the toilets and the change rooms as you would at home and if any other assistance is needed or noticed, please notify one of our friendly ‘crew’.
We simply can’t wait to see you all next week!
